What's coming up in Bakewell in 2019
21 January 2019
With the new year upon us, we’re starting to look ahead to 2019. We’ve got plenty of exciting activity planned at The H Boutique Hotel throughout the year, but there’s also plenty of events coming up in and around Bakewell for you to attend.
Here’s a few events that we’re particularly excited for…
27th - 28th April - Bakewell Food Festival
It’s not just Bakewell Puddings we have to offer! Bakewell Food Festival showcases a host of locally sourced produce for you to sink your teeth into, with around 100 different stalls to explore.
If the food and drink isn’t enough to entice you to visit Bakewell during this glorious weekend, entertainment for the whole family will also be on offer. Including an opportunity to meet the owls that starred in Harry Potter!
10th - 12th May - Dodson & Horrell International Horse Trials
From elegant dressage to show jumping, this three day event is a thrilling display of world-class equestrian sport at Chatsworth House.
Alongside the world-class competition on show, there will be a shopping village onsite and a range of family friendly activities yet to be announced. The house, garden, farmyard and playground will remain open for you to discover too.
5th - 9th June - The RHS Flower Show
Another annual Chatsworth event attended by many visitors from across the UK, the RHS Flower Show is a highlight of summer in the Peak District, giving attendees gardening inspiration in the beautiful setting of the Chatsworth grounds.
Expect knowledgeable exhibitors, workshops, garden shopping, and of course, all the usual delights that Chatsworth brings.
29th June - 7th July - Bakewell Carnival Week
Thousands of visitors flock to Bakewell every year for this vibrant week of activity, with fun activities for all to enjoy such as the ever popular duck race across the River Wye!
Carnival Week is a great event to spend some family time during the summer, and the traditional town of Bakewell makes for a beautiful setting to take part in all the activities involved.
16th - 18th August - Peakender
If you’re a real ale connoisseur, the annual Thornbridge Peakender is a must. The weekend brings plenty of opportunity to try beer offerings from local and global breweries, whilst being entertained by live music.
There will also be the chance to attend unique workshops and events such as beer yoga and chocolate and beer pairing!
Sitting in the heart of Bakewell, The H Boutique Hotel is the perfect base for any activities you attend in the Peak District. Check all of our upcoming availability.
