About Us

For nearly half a century and four generations the Founders vision, Mr Terry Proctor, was to create a unique hotel experience in the heart of Bakewell. This has seen the evolution from the original Bakewell Hotel to The H Boutique Hotel of today.

The family decided to follow in their father’s footsteps and create a modern accommodation. Giving a luxurious focus to the highest level of bed, pillow comfort, jacuzzi baths and walk in showers.

This combined with the exceptional customer service, the family have strived to ensure you have the best experience.

The ‘H’ theme of the hotel runs throughout, each room has been specifically named after a local area, such as Hope and Hathersage.

Our 10 beautifully decorated bedrooms tell a local story with local artwork and stunning photographs embellishing the walls.

Each of our rooms are decorated to the finest standards, with fabrics that have been selected by local designers to suit a stylish and contemporary feel.

All of our rooms and suites are furnished with emperor beds that are topped with high quality bed linen and include air conditioning, comfortable seating areas, flat screen televisions, free Wi-Fi, tea/coffee making facilities and The White Company luxurious toiletries.
